emergencies

In the event of an emergency call 000 for an ambulance. Clinic’s after-hours on call doctor can be contacted by calling 0410 231 168 (fees applicable). HealthDirect is contactable on 1800 022 222.

New patients

Blessed Health Care welcomes new patients. Please bring along with you your Medicare Card and Centrelink HCC (if you have one) and your Photo I.D to your first appointment. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment to complete a form.

Reminder service

Blessed Health Care provides a service where you may receive an SMS or phone call or letter reminding you of routine preventative health checkups, reviews or screening (such as pap smear tests or GP management plans).

Request for scripts

Please make an appointment for repeat scripts if these are needed.

Please make an appointment for medical certificates or referrals. They cannot be backdated.

Electronic Communication

Communication via electronic means (such as email) does carry privacy risks and other associated risks in that the information could be intercepted or read by someone other than the intended recipient. Written consent will need to be obtained from the patient prior to any personal or sensitive information being transmitted via email.

Complaints

Your feedback is appreciated for the continued improvement of our practice. You are welcome to provide any feedback by completing the Feedback Form available at the reception desk.

If you wish to make a complaint about any aspect of our services, please speak to your doctor directly or our practice manager. If this fails to resolve the issue, you can contact Health and Disability Services Complaints.

Privacy

Our practice is committed to protecting our patients’ privacy according to the Privacy Act. The practice runs on a computerised, paperless system. Access to computer records containing your information is restricted to medical staff and password protected, with all hard copies of patient documents disposed of in a secure manner.
